Winn-Dixie's Monthly Sales Slip
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. reported sales of $529.2 million for the four weeks ended Oct. 18, 2006, down slightly from the previous four week's $535.2 million, in a monthly operating report filed this week with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Winn-Dixie's net loss was also greater in the latest four weeks than the previous four. In the latest four weeks, the retailer reported a net loss of $18.152 million, compared to a $7.702 million loss.

Winn-Dixie is still awaiting bankruptcy court approval for its reorganization plan. In October, a U.S. Bankruptcy judge said he would reach a decision about the plan "in coming days."
