Winn-Dixie Taps Financial, H.R. Execs to Aid Recovery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. said on Friday it has added three new executives to the corporate headquarters staff, with its eye on emergence from bankruptcy.

Winn-Dixie named Sheila Reinken v.p. of finance and treasurer. She is responsible for leading, directing, and managing the treasury activities, as well as financial planning and auditing for the company.

An expert in corporate reorganization, Reinken joins Winn-Dixie with a wealth of experience, most recently serving as c.f.o. for vFinance, Inc., a publicly traded financial services company that provides research, investment banking, brokerage, and trading services to more than 10,000 corporate, institutional, and private clients worldwide.

Reinken also previously served in senior financial positions at Burger King Corp., American Eagle Outfitters, Inc., Ames Department Stores, Inc., and Levitz Furniture Corporation.

It also named Jeff Gottlieb senior director of tax, overseeing Winn-Dixie's tax department and directing the tax planning and compliance functions. Gottlieb most recently served as v.p. of tax for The St. Joe Company in Jacksonville. He has more than 20 years of experience as a tax professional.

The chain appointed Laura Booras director of talent acquisition, overseeing the company's recruitment of new staff. Booras has experience acquiring top talent in complex environments. She previously served as v.p. of people services for Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., in Dallas. Booras has also operated her own executive search firm, served as senior director of corporate human resources with MCI Systemhouse in Atlanta, and was v.p. of human resources for Buesing Corp. in Minnesota and Arizona.
