Winn-Dixie Reopens Central Florida Stores Following Hurricane
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. here said yesterday it has reopened all of its 157 stores in central Florida (in the Orlando-Daytona and Tampa-St. Petersburg DMAs) that were temporarily closed because of Hurricane Wilma. The stores are open under full power, and are selling perishables and all other items, the company said.
Winn-Dixie also said it plans to reopen its stores in South Florida (Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Naples-Ft. Myers DMAs) as quickly as possible. Winn-Dixie operates 143 stores in South Florida.
