Winn-Dixie to Lay Off 169 at Two Stores in South Florida
Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. filed notice Monday with the state to lay off 169 workers in South Florida.
According to a report by The Business Journal, the layoffs will take effect Sept. 2 at two units the chain had earlier said it plans to close: a store in Pembroke Pines, and one in New Port Richey. Winn-Dixie said it would lay off 92 workers at the Pembroke Pines location, and 77 in New Port Richey.
