Winn-Dixie to Implement New Terminal Software Suite

ENFIELD, Conn.-- Winn-Dixie Stores will implement will implement Control Module, Inc.'s (CMI) SaveTime data collection terminals in more than 1,070 grocery stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants.

The implementation of CMI's SaveTime is part of Winn-Dixie's automation and standardization of work force management processes, including time and attendance, real-time reporting, and labor analysis. CMI partner Workbrain, Inc. is providing the application software for Winn-Dixie's work force management system.

CMI says its SaveTime system will give Winn-Dixie greater control over labor costs and increase the ability to manage its work force more efficiently through real-time access and a centralized database. The system enables users to modify readers, keyboards, and communication methods by snapping in different hardware modules.

Featuring LCD and VFD display options, the system also allows for the use of bar code, proximity, magnetics, and biometric readers. The suite includes employee information and terminal management systems, as well a CXI service that provides XML-based interfaces.
