Winn-Dixie Customers Will Connect With Soldiers Via Postcards
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Beginning Saturday, May 28, Winn-Dixie shoppers will have the chance to pay tribute to American soldiers by sending words of encouragement on postcards, thanks to a program from Cerritos, Calif.-based Mass Connections.
The program enables shoppers to pick up free, pre-addressed postcards at any Winn-Dixie store to send their best wishes to deployed troops. Patriotic postcards will be available at every Winn-Dixie throughout the Southeast, while supplies last.
"So many of our shoppers and our associates have loved ones on the front lines," said Judy Holland, neighborhood marketing director for Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. "We're honored to provide this program as a tangible way for them to reach out and show their admiration and appreciation this Memorial Day."
General Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, recently lauded the Mass Connections initiative's commitment to American service personnel.
