Winn-Dixie Chooses Trax Software & Consulting for Shrink Reduction Program
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Trax Software & Consulting Inc. announced on Thursday that Winn-Dixie Stores has completed a pilot of the company's ShrinkTrax DM2 software with 153 stores and signed a formal agreement to roll out the solution in more than 1,000 stores nationwide. The pilot program ran for 12 weeks and created performance improvement and a measurable ROI for Winn-Dixie.
According to industry analysts, 54 percent of all shrink (the difference between the retail value of product received vs. the retail value of the product sold) is caused by employees through dishonesty or cashier fraud. Trax solutions are designed to track each transaction and its characteristics in order to identify cashiers who steal or who are in need of further training, thereby reducing store shrink and improving business profit.
"The built-in intelligence within our software recognizes that every store has unique characteristics of its own and starts with its own baseline statistical makeup," said Larry Miller, president and founder of TRAX Software. "A void is only bad, for example, when it changes the underlying transactional characteristics of the transaction in which it occurred. Winn-Dixie is very determined to grow store profit through shrink reduction, and we're pleased to work with them on implementing a combined technology and best practices solution for their business problem."
