Weis Names Senior VP, Operations

Weis Markets has named David W. Gose senior vice president of operations.

Reporting to COO Kurt Schertle, Gose will oversee all day-to-day operations and management of the company's 166 stores.

Bringing 24 years' experience to the role, Gose was senior director and regional general manager, Walmart Ohio, in which he oversaw 92 stores and more than 30,000 full- and part-time associates. Earlier, he worked as a district manager in Walmart's Midwest and Northeast/Mid-Atlantic divisions.

Sunbury, Pa.-based Weis Markets operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
