Weis Markets Promotes Two to VP Positions
SUNBURY, Pa. - Weis Markets has promoted Dale Horst to VP of store operations and Lynn Leitzel to VP of information technology.
Prior to their promotions, Horst, 46, was the company's director of store operation and Leitzel, 46, was the company's director of management information.
As VP of store operations, Horst will oversee the day-to-day operation of Weis Markets' 161 stores. During his 24-year career with Weis Markets, he has worked in a variety of management positions including store manager, grocery supervisor and division manager.
Leitzel will oversee the continuing operation and development of the company's information technology and database management operations in his new position. Prior to joining Weis Markets in 1996, he worked at Commonwealth Bank.
Weis Markets currently operates 161 stores in six states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and West Virginia. The company also owns and operates SuperPetz, a pet supply superstore chain with 33 locations in 11 states.
