Weis Markets Names Adam Edwards Director of Information Security

Weis Markets has named Adam Edwards the grocer's new director, information security.  

In his new role, Edwards will oversee the development, implementation and compliance of information security practices throughout the company, including management of the risks related to information security, policy development and enforcement, identity management, crisis management, and privacy and compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

Bringing more than a decade of experience to his role, Edwards held a similar position with the University of Scranton, and before that worked in information security positions at Rent-A-Center and Lowe’s.

Sunbury, Pa.-based Weis Markets operates 163 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
