Wegmans Dishing the Dirt for Father’s Day
In honor of Dad’s special day, Wegmans Food Markets is inviting fathers and their kids to get down and dirty this weekend in a one-hour, hands-on class teaching two new recipes.
Taking place at select New York stores this coming Saturday and Sunday (some sessions were already held last weekend), “Dig in the Dirt Dessert with Dad” gives attendees the chance to make a mango-peach salsa to pair with tortilla chips, followed by a “dirt” pudding (chocolate pudding with cookie crumbs and gummy worms). The classes are for children ages 5 and over and their fathers, and the price is $5 per child with a Wegmans Shoppers Club card. Tickets are available at the service desk. Please see below for times and locations.
Additionally, the Decorate a Cake for Dad event at all Wegmans stores June 19 will enable children to adorn an Ultimate chocolate cake or a vanilla cake for their favorite guy. Take-home cakes and decorating kits will also be offered. Times, pricing and locations for in-store decorating vary.
Rochester, N.Y.-based Wegmans operates 75 stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland.
