Walmart Prez/CEO to Appear at Retail’s BIG Show
Among the industry leaders and CEOs appearing at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 104th Annual Convention and Expo in January will be Walmart President and CEO Bill Simon. The four-day event, known as Retail's BIG Show, will also feature former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke as a keynote speaker.
Expected to draw more than 31,000 attendees to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, the show, scheduled for Jan. 11-14, 2015, brings together senior retail executives and their business partners, media and thousands of other retail professionals. The expo offers more than 570 exhibitors spotlighting cutting-edge retail and technology solutions.
Simon will take part in "Brick is the New Black: Reinventing the Brick-and-Mortar Experience," slated for Sunday, Jan. 11, 3:15–4:15 p.m., along with JDA Software Chairman of the Board and CEO Baljit Dail; Levi Strauss & Co. EVP and President, Levi's Brand James Curleigh; Lippincott Senior Partner James Wright; and CNBC Correspondent and General Assignment Reporter Courtney Reagan.
During "Global Economic Challenges and Opportunities for Success: A Conversation with Dr. Ben S. Bernanke," which will take place Monday, Jan. 12, 9:00-10:00 a.m., the former chairman will appear with NRF Chairman of the Board and retired Saks Inc. Chairman and CEO Stephen I. Sadove.
As well as the keynotes, Retail's BIG show will present a series of speakers and breakout sessions, networking events and the expo floor. The event also provides a program enabling students to learn about retail careers.
