Vitasoy Names New President/CEO
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.- Vitasoy USA, producer and marketer of soy beverages and tofu, has announced the appointment of Thomas Osetek to president and CEO. Osetek replaces Winston Lo, interim CEO of Vitasoy USA and current executive chairman of Vitasoy USA's parent company, Vitasoy International Holdings, Ltd. in Hong Kong.
In his new capacity, Osetek will be responsible for long-term strategic development as well as the day-to-day management of the business operation overseeing sales, marketing, manufacturing, strategic planning, finance and administration.
Osetek has more than 20 years of management experience in the processed food industry. Most recently, he served as group vice president of sales, marketing, planning and logistics for Tri Valley Growers, a 68-year-old, grower-owned cooperative and a national leader in processed fruits and tomatoes.
Previously, Osetek spent 21 years within the Dean Foods Company, where he served in several capacities in several divisions. As senior vice president of sales and marketing and CFO/vice president of finance for the Dean Foods Vegetable Company, Osetek was involved in the acquisition of Birds Eye. As corporate controller of dairy operations he assisted with the acquisition of several dairies. Osetek also held the position of general manager of Juice Services Inc., a juice processor and division of Dean Foods.
