Vermont Grocers' Association Re-elects Chairman

RUTLAND, Vt. -- The Vermont Grocers' Association (VGA) here has re-elected Gail Horne of Keeler's Bay Variety to the position of chairman, according to a published report. Horne and her husband, Mark, run a family-owned market in South Hero, Vt.

Also at the elections, which took place in Burlington last month, Bill McDonald of Waits River General Store in Topsham became vice chairman and Dan Dukeshire of Mac's Markets in Rutland was chosen to be secretary-treasurer.

Additionally, the following people were elected or re-elected to serve on the association's board of directors: Marshall Clark of Clark's Quality Foods in Londonderry; Don Mugford of Stowe Beverage in Stowe; Kathy Miller of the Elmore Store in Elmore; Dwight LaFountain of Jiffy Mart Stores in Claremont; Pat Breen of Grand Union Family Markets in Clifton Park, N.Y.; Dave Bouffard of the Derby Village Store in Derby; Cathy Bacon of Hillside Lane Farm in Randolph; and Mike Baker of Baker Distributing in Colchester.

The VGA represents almost 700 stores and 250 suppliers.
