USA Technologies and ViVOtech Team Up to Provide Mobile Vending
USA Technologies, a provider of wireless cashless payments systems, ViVOtech, a provider of near field communications (NFC) software and systems, have teamed up to demonstrate how USAT's ePort terminal that accepts mobile payments as well as traditional magnetic stripe cards, contactless cards, and other cashless forms of payment.
"USA Technologies’ ePort solutions are capable of handling mobile payments," said Michael Lawlor, Sr. VP of sales and business development, Malvern, Pa.-based USA Technologies. "In fact, the company already has approximately 50,000 mobile NFC payment-enabled ePort connections on its network."
USA Technologies announced earlier this week an agreement with Verizon with the goal to accelerate the adoption of small-ticket, wireless, cashless payment services and machine-to-machine applications via USA Technologies' ePort Connect Service. Among other things, the agreement provides for USA Technologies ePort solution including the Verizon Wireless network for connectivity, as well as Verizon including the ePort solution for wireless, cashless point of sale, and machine to machine applications in the Verizon sales toolkit.
