Unified Grocers’ IGA Market Fresh Stores Launch Consumer-Focused Web Site

Regional grocery wholesaler Unified Grocers’ IGA Market Fresh member stores have launched a new consumer-focused, interactive Web site (www.igamarketfresh.com) designed to provide shoppers with a range of features and personalized consumer content to add value to their online and in-store shopping experiences.

Among the many benefits that the site offers shoppers is the ability to create their own personalized online account to receive e-mail notification of weekly specials, personalized shopping lists, and informational content such as meal ideas and recipes using sale items. Visitors can also view the weekly advertising flyers of the IGA Market Fresh stores in their area, and search the ads by product, brand and department. Additionally, users can create their own online cookbooks from the thousands of recipes available on the site, and can rate and review the recipes that they have tried.

Unified worked with Tarpon Springs, Fla.-based Webstop.com, Inc. on the Market Fresh Web site, which is the first of several IGA independent sites to launch. The rest will follow in the near future.

The IGA Market Fresh stores that were among the initial participants in the launch of www.IGAmarketfresh.com include six Washington locations (Allen Creek IGA Market Fresh, Marysville, Wash.; Goldendale IGA Market Fresh, Goldendale, Wash.; Granite Falls Market Fresh IGA, Granite Falls, Wash.; Hoodsport IGA Market Fresh, Hood Canal, Wash.; Kingston IGA Market Fresh, Kingston, Wash.; and Toledo IGA Market Fresh, Toledo, Wash.) and one Oregon location (St. Helens IGA Market Fresh, St. Helens, Ore.).
