Tyson Foods, Millennium Promise Launch Anti-poverty Project
SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Tyson Foods, Inc. here and N.Y.-based Millennium Promise are collaborating in the fight against poverty by launching a six-month corporate service fellowship.
Tyson is loaning Millennium Promise, an international non-profit organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty, the skills and energies of an experienced corporate executive for six months.
Since 2000, Tyson donated $3 million and more than 49 million pounds of chicken, beef and pork products to more than 600 hunger-relief agencies nationwide.
