Truck Drivers' Strike May Affect Some Giant Eagle Stores

PITTSBURGH -- Local truck drivers could soon walk off the job, leaving some Pittsburgh-area Giant Eagle stores without merchandise, according to reports in the Pittsburgh media. Members of the Teamsters Local 249, who work for Talon Logistics in Lawrenceville, Pa., voted to strike Sunday. Talon Logistics provides trucking services for Giant Eagle, Pittsburgh's market leader.

There is no word on a strike date.
