TopSource, LLC, a buying cooperative for grocers in the United States, has selected Verisae as its preferred supplier partner for enterprise sustainability initiatives of its members.
According to John Latham, director of strategic sourcing-logistics, distribution, and energy management of the Braintree, Mass.-based co-op, “TopSource is focusing on helping our customers bring improvements to their business operations.”
Verisae will provide TopSource members with educational tools and energy, emissions, assets, operations, and refrigerant management solutions. The partnership will allow Verisae to market solutions and services in cooperation with TopSource.
Under the new partnership, TopSource will work closely with Minneapolis-based Verisae to roll out the vendor’s Sustainability Resource Planning (SRP) platform through Web conferences and other marketing or educational efforts. The platform was developed to deliver operational efficiency, protect brand integrity and help ensure regulatory compliance for distributed enterprises.
TopSource, a wholly owned subsidiary of Skokie, Ill.-based Topco Associates, LLC, a cooperative buying organization for food retailers, was developed to help its retailer and wholesaler members realize savings in areas of not-for-resale (often called indirect spend) such as store equipment, office products/services, packaging, IT/Telecom, construction, fuel, logistics and distribution, marketing, health care, utilities, and hired services.
