Tops Sponsoring Theme Park
Tops Markets LLC has entered into sponsorship with Darien Lake and Live Nation at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, N.Y., for the 2013-2015 Darien Lake Theme Park and Concert Series seasons.
As Darien Lake’s exclusive retail partner, Williamsville, N.Y.-based Tops will offer season passes to the park for $64.99 (including free parking for the season), and daily admission tickets for $34.99 -- $10 off the $44.99 main gate admission. Daily admission tickets will be available from late March for purchase at any Tops cash register. The grocer will additionally sponsor “Ignite the Night,” Darien Lake’s new million-dollar, laser-light and fireworks show, an expansion of the park’s popular Laser Blast Spectacular.
Also, together with Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Live Nation, operator of the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, Tops will sponsor the 2013 Darien Lake Performing Arts Center Concert Series. As part of the sponsorship, Tops BonusPlus card holders will have pre-sale access to concert tickets for choice seat locations before they go on sale to the public.
Further, Darien Lake Performing Arts Center will introduce the Tops Family Zone, an exclusive family-friendly area for concert-goers, located in the center of the lawn seating section.
Throughout the year, Tops customers will also have plenty of chances to win Darien Lake-themed prizes through in-store promotions and contests. When shoppers visit any Tops store from March 31 until April 27 and present a BonusPlus card when buying a Darien Lake Theme Park season pass, they will be automatically entered to win a 2013 Darien Lake Ultimate Season Pass, which includes: two VIP tickets to every 2013 concert at the venue, VIP parking access for one vehicle for the entire 2013 season, and two Darien Lake Theme Park season passes.
