Tops Holds ‘Customer Appreciation Days’
Tops Markets LLC has rolled out “Customer Appreciation Days” in all of its stores from Sunday, March 6 through Saturday, March 12, offering a full week of free trials and giveaways. The Williamsville, N.Y.-based grocer introduced the program as a way to thank its customers for their loyalty over the past 14 months, during which time Tops has undergone significant changes, among them the acquisition and rebranding of former Penn Traffic stores, the opening of new locations in the Rochester and western New York areas, and the expansion of the company to a 134-store chain.
“The outpouring of support from our customers, associates and the communities we serve has not gone unnoticed, and we are truly thankful for that,” noted Tops president and CEO Frank Curci.
Activities at Tops stores include free cake, balloons for kids and a flower for moms; free milk from a local dairy farm; a free sample Tops’ Fish Fry Dinner; free Tim Horton’s Coffee, along with a Tops’ Bakery Cookie; the offer of double Gas BonusPoints; a free one-month supply of $3.99 generic medications or a gift from stores featuring a pharmacy departments; a free healthy treat from the produce department; and a free sample of store brand products.
Employing more than 14,000 associates, Tops operates 134 supermarkets – 129 company-owned and five franchise locations – in upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania.
