Topeka Resident Wins Dillons/Banquet Sweepstakes

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Topeka, Kan. resident Linda Bauman's first NASCAR Nextel Cup race will be a memorable one as the winner of the Dillons/Banquet 400 RV Sweepstakes.

Bauman and three guests will spend this weekend in the Banquet 400 RV on the infield of Kansas Speedway -- something NASCAR fans reserve years in advance. The grand prize also includes four VIP tickets for Sunday's Banquet 400, presented by ConAgra Foods and Saturday's United Way 300 Busch Series event, as well as four passes that will allow them to visit the "pits" and see the cars, the drivers, and the crews in action.

"The Banquet brand is delighted to provide Linda and her guests with the ultimate NASCAR Nextel Cup race experience from the comfort of the Banquet 400 RV, which will be stocked with Banquet and many other great-tasting ConAgra Foods products," said Rich Ferrington, v.p. of marketing for Banquet.

Bauman, 61, was randomly selected as the grand prize winner from shoppers at Dillons, Baker's, and Gerbes supermarkets in a five-state region. "This is so exciting. I've never done anything like this before," said Bauman. "My son, Doug, was thrilled when I said he could attend and invite two of his friends. Doug said, 'Mom, it's a dream come true.' It's nice to be the hero, and I plan to milk this for all it's worth," she jokingly added.

"We are always looking for ways to do more for our guests," said Sue-Ella McKinzie, advertising director of Dillons. "By partnering with ConAgra Foods and Banquet on this promotion, we are able to reward our valued guests with a fun and memorable experience."
