Time for Tea

With tea continuing to gain in popularity among U.S. consumers, the time was right for Sparks, Nev.-based Davidson’s Teas to bring out a line of Tulsi Tea traceable all the way back to its source: the company’s own organic Fair Trade tea farms in India. A type of basil revered in the East as a sacred, health-promoting herb for 5,000 years, antioxidant-rich tulsi offers a subtle, naturally sweet and minty flavor. Each of the six varieties -- Signature Blend, Pure Leaves, Rooibos Chai, Spicy Green, Hibiscus Flower, and Chamomile Flower -- is ideal for sipping, icing, or blending into specialty drinks and cocktails, according to Davidson’s. SRPs are $2.95 for a box of eight individually wrapped tea bags; $5.50 for a box of 25 individually wrapped tea bags, $14 for a box of 100 unwrapped tea bags, and $25.95 for 100 individually wrapped tea bags.
