Three In-store Cake Decorators to Compete in IDDBA Challenge
MADISON, Wis. -- Three in-store bakery cake decorators have been chosen to compete in the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association's 10th annual Cake Decorating Challenge.
The cake decorating competition will take place at the annual Dairy-Deli-Bake Seminar and Expo, which will take place June 5 to June 7 in Minneapolis.
The contestants are:
--Gwen Kottman, Fry's and Fry's Marketplace #54, Phoenix
--Xiomara Urbina, Publix Supermarket #0238, Miami
--Stacy A. Wade, Lamb's Thriftway, Wilsonville, Ore.
The contestants will compete in three challenges, including decorating a wedding cake, decorating enough cakes to fill one bakery case, and decorating three cakes of their choosing, one from each of the following category: special occasion, theme/event, and decorator's choice.
