Tastykake, Hershey’s Scare Up Kandy Bar Kakes

In anticipation of All Hallows Eve, iconic Pennsylvania-based brands Tastykake and the Hershey Co. are rolling out a treat combining cake and candy.

Kandy Bar Kakes come in such familiar Hershey’s flavors as S’mores, Hershey’s Cocoa, Reese’s Peanut Butter and York Peppermint.

Tastykake, a brand of the Philadelphia-based Tasty Baking Co., and a subsidiary of Flowers Foods in Thomasville, Ga., has also come up with some spook-tacular dessert ideas for Halloween parties, among them Coffin Cakes, Spooky S'more Pops and Creepy Crawly Cake Bites.

“Hershey’s incredible brand recognition, along with the renowned freshness and deliciousness of Tastykake, will ensure Kandy Bar Kakes become family favorites,” said Brent Bradshaw, VP of marketing for Flowers Foods cake brands.

The new items are available in 5-count individually wrapped multi-packs retailing for a suggested $3.99 and 2.1-ounce single serves for a suggested $1.69.
