Target’s Kodak Kiosks Add Facebook Connectivity

Mass merchandise retailer Target last week launched a new photo service that allows users of its Kodak Picture Kiosks to access and print online photos directly from their Facebook or Kodak Gallery accounts.

This new service enables Target to tap into the social network’s more than 500 million users, who upload more than 3 billion photos to Facebook each month.

“Kodak has always been a leader in innovative photography solutions and is the first mass retailer to offer this solution nationwide,” said Mark Schindele, SVP, merchandising, Target. “We know our guests are increasingly sharing their photos online and Kodak Picture Kiosks with Social Network Connectivity allow them access to their favorite photos along with the convenience of printing the images during their regular Target shopping trip.”

The photo kiosks enable users to create a variety of photo products ranging from standard prints to personalized photo keepsakes such as Kodak photo books, collages, calendars, holiday, and greeting cards, and Kodak picture movie DVDs.

Minneapolis-based Target operates 1,752 stores in 49 states.
