Target Vice Chairman Leaves the Company
MINNEAPOLIS -- Mass merchandiser Target Corp. here said Tuesday evening that Gerald Storch, its vice chairman, has left the company, effective immediately. The company did not give a reason for Storch's departure.
"We would like to thank Jerry for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavors," said Robert J. Ulrich, Target's chairman and c.e.o., in a statement.
Storch, 48, joined Dayton Hudson Corp. in 1993 as s.v.p. of strategic planning.
As vice chairman he oversaw important areas of Target's business, including technology and the chain's Web site, strategic planning, and financial services. He was seen as a possible candidate for c.e.o. at Target, according to published reports.
