Target to Offer Exclusive Sony Products
MINNEAPOLIS - Target Stores today announced that Sony will design a product line exclusively for its stores and Web site that will debut spring 2002. This is the first time Sony has designed a line exclusively for a single retailer.
The nine products, named Sony Liv, are all priced under $150 and will feature color designs. The line includes CD players, alarm clocks, radios, a universal remote, a clutch radio that resembles a purse, and an under-counter mounted CD player designed specifically for the kitchen.
"Target is committed to making innovative products and great style accessible to everyone," said Steve Eastman, vice president of merchandising for Target. "The superior aesthetic of our Sony line offers Target guests a unique combination -- the high quality of Sony electronics with the great looks and forward design guests expect from Target."
Target?s existing exclusive partnerships include Eddie Bauer, Tupperware, Calphalon and Waverly.
