Target Corp. Vows to Remain Competitive on Script Pricing

MINNEAPOLIS -- Target Corp. here pledged it will remain consistent with its long-standing practice to be price competitive with Wal-Mart, by matching the latter's new lower priced generic drug strategy in all Florida Target pharmacies that began last Friday.

In a statement, Target reiterated its commitment "to providing guests added value and quality service as part of its 'Expect More. Pay Less' brand promise.

With 1,494 stores in 47 states, Target has updated its corporate profile boilerplate information, which now includes a statement referencing its "fully integrated online business" and "fun and convenient shopping experience with thousands of highly differentiated and affordably priced items."
