Sweets Expo to Bow in Three Canadian Cities
TORONTO -- Intev Productions, Inc., on Friday launched Sweets Expo, a three-city consumer candy show that "promises to stimulate and promote the candy business both for the retailer and the supplier by bringing together all constituents in the confectionary industry together under one roof."
The dates and locations for Sweets Expo are as follows: Toronto, Saturday May 13 and Sunday May 14, 2006, Metro Toronto Convention Centre; Montreal, Saturday, July 8 and Sunday July 9, 2006, Palais des Congres de Montreal; and Vancouver, Saturday Oct. 7 and Sunday Oct. 8, 2006, VCEC.
Show organizers said they expect to welcome 45,000 visitors from across Canada at the events.
According to Intev, the shows' aim is to broaden the current market's offerings and initiate synergistic efforts to best serve the confectionary industry, including joint promotions, educational programming, and networking activities for buyers and exhibitors alike.
"We are pleased to be offering a Canadian confectionary show. We feel this show will fill a void in the candy industry and will allow companies that cater to the industry to offer their sweets and to ultimately build their market presence right across the country," said Sweets Expo sales manager Tracey Robertson in a statement.
