Superpretzel Partners with ‘The Supernatural’

J&J Snack Foods, maker of Superpretzel Soft Pretzels, churros and other related products, has signed a multi-year agreement with Mike Trout (left), outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

“Mike Trout is a phenomenal athlete and an extraordinary young man,” said Gerry Shreiber, president and CEO of Pennsauken, N.J.-based J&J Snack Foods Corp. “We believe the combination of Mike representing our Superpretzel Soft Pretzels, Churros, and other related products is a rare combination of the best of the best.”

The South Jersey native was awarded Sporting News’ "2012 American Legion Rookie of the Year" and is the youngest player to ever hit 30 home runs and steal 49 bases in a season. “I grew up eating and enjoying Superpretzels and am excited to now be working with the JJSF team,” Trout said.

J&J Snack Foods products, specifically the Superpretzel brand, has been a snacking staple in stadiums nationwide since the 1970s. Other principal J&J products include Icee, Slush Puppie and Arctic Blast frozen beverages, Whole Fruit sorbet, Fruit-a-Freeze frozen fruit bars, and The Funnel Cake Factory funnel cakes, among others.
