Super 1 Foods Names Winner of ‘Cash 4 MY HS’ Sweeps

Super 1 Foods, a banner of Tyler, Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Co., presented a $5,000 check to McKinney Christian Academy as the grand-prize winner of the “Cash 4 MY HS” sweepstakes.

McKinney Christian Academy received the most votes for their school during the program -- which ran from September through early November -- by having parents, students and faculty text MUSTANGS to the designated sweepstakes number throughout the football season. Thirty-one schools throughout Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas participated in the competition.

“Super 1 Foods is committed to our communities, and we are excited this program will be able to help local schools, students and athletes in areas where we operate,” said Brookshire’s President and CEO Rick Rayford. “We congratulate McKinney Christian Academy and wish them the best of luck.”

Through the Cash 4 MY HS program, Super 1 Foods donated some $40,000 to local high schools.

Brookshire Grocery Co. operates 152 stores in three states -- Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas -- with three distribution centers and seven manufacturing facilities.
