Summer’s the Time for a Winning ‘Lamb Burger’
The American Lamb Board has rolled out its third annual “Get Your Grill On” video competition, which invites consumers to participate in this year’s “American Lamb Burger Bonanza” by sharing their secrets for the best lamb burger.
Contestants can submit a three- to five-minute video in DVD, QuickTime or online link (no VHS) formats demonstrating how they prepare the grill; relating recipe components, including the cut used; and explaining why they love lamb. A panel of grilling experts will review the videos to choose a winner who will be revealed July 15. The winning grill master will receive two tickets to the NYC Wine & Food Festival’s “Burger Bash.”
Entries must be sent to Get Your Grill On C/O Baltz and Co., 49 W. 23rd Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10010 or e-mailed to [email protected]. Videos will not be returned. For more information about the competition, consumers can visit www.americanlamb.com/fansoflamb.aspx and become a Fan of Lamb, enabling them to receive Fan of Lamb gear and goodies.
Appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture and overseen by the USDA, the Denver-based, industry-funded represents all sectors of the American lamb industry, including producers, feeders, seed stock producers and processors.
