Strack and Van Til to Leverage Vendor Managed Inventory

11/17/2009
Regional independent grocer Strack and Van Til, a Highland, Ind.-based grocery retailer with more than a dozen stores spanning Illinois and Indiana, plans to install new software in an effort to capture, manage, analyze and share critical data with its partners, bringing greater visibility throughout the supply chain.

The grocer will use Park City Group’s Consumer Driven Sales Optimization (CDSO) solution, which the Park City, Utah-based vendor developed to help retailers build a new strategy around vendor-managed inventory, freeing up cash for the retailer and giving the vendor a vested interest in the performance of their goods.

“We [are] working with Strack and Van Til to enable them to optimize their supply chain and drive increased sales,” said Randall K. Fields, chairman and CEO of Park City.

Park City Group develops software aimed at enabling retailers and suppliers to work collaboratively as strategic partners to reduce out-of-stocks, shrink, inventory and labor, while improving profits, efficiencies and customer service.
