In celebration of the grand opening, Stop & Shop’s scheduled special offers and activities over the weekend included enabling the first 500 customers to exchange their cards from other supermarkets for a Stop & Shop card receive a $5 Stop & Shop gift card; providing customers with the opportunity to tour designated areas of the store, sample food and collect stamps along the way, under the “Passport Program,” which gives a free reusable bag (while supplies last) to shoppers who visit five areas; giving away $1,000 worth of prizes through its “Brands Patrol!” program to customers who purchase Nature’s Promise and Stop & Shop brand products; and welcoming Pat Patriot, mascot of the New England Patriots, in a special appearance on Sunday, July 29
