Stop & Shop Helps Raise $5K for Food Bank

This past May, Stop & Shop partnered with Sprite to donate $5,000 to the Worcester County Food Bank to help fight hunger in Central Massachusetts.

Sprite and Stop & Shop also donated $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester to help build and refurbish homes and retrofit them with water conserving appliances.

“For any $5000 donation we receive, WCFB distributes approximately $25,00 worth of donated food,” said Jean McMurray, executive director, Worcester County Food Bank. “We can do so much with these funds to help the people in our community.”
