Lucky’s Market has named Steve Black president, effective immediately.

"Steve adds a wealth of experience and leadership to our team. His knowledge and passion will allow us to further execute our core mission of making a positive impact in the lives of others through food," said Bo Sharon, CEO and founder of Lucky’s Markets.

This week, Lucky’s will open its eighth store in Gainesville, Fla., its first location in the state. The company also plans additional locations in Bloomington, Ind., Ann Arbor, Mich., Rock Hill, Mo., Jackson Hole, Wyo., and Iowa City, Iowa to join its original location in Boulder, Colo., as well as other stores in Columbia and Ellisville, Mo., Billings, Mont., Louisville, Ky., Longmont, Colo., and Columbus, Ohio.

In his new role, Black will be crucial to leading Lucky’s expansion plans as well as grooming new leaders in the company as it strives to become “the customer service driven retail grocery store of choice in the areas we serve,” Sharon said.
