Stater Bros. Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For Future Southwest Riverside County Store

COLTON, Calif. -- Stater Bros. Market here conducted a groundbreaking ceremony today for what will be its newest store in southern California.

A 44,000-square-foot store is planned for Southwest Riverside County, Calif., and will be part of the new 16-acre French Valley Village Center that will serve the neighboring communities of Temecula, Murrieta, and Winchester.

"The Stater Bros. 'Family' of Employees is especially proud to build this new and modern Stater Bros. supermarket to serve the growing community of French Valley," said Jack Brown. "We pledge to continue to work hard every day to earn the privilege of serving our 'valued' customers."

The new supermarket will be constructed by Stater Bros. Development, which serves as the general contractor for Stater Bros. Markets.

Following are some of the features that are planned for the new supermarket:

-- Full Service expanded meat department with famous Stater Bros. butchers to serve and provide cooking tips
-- Full Service "Fresh" seafood department
-- Full Service deli offering a complete selection of salads, premium deli meats, a wide variety of domestic and imported cheeses, sandwiches-to-go, including the new "Sandwich Classics" using La Brea fine rolls, party trays, quick and easy hot lunches and dinners, and Golden Fried Chicken
-- Full Service Hot Bakery featuring daily fresh baked artisan breads, cookies, rolls, elegant desserts, and custom-made cakes for all occasions, including picture cakes
-- An expanded "Garden Fresh" produce department featuring more than 700 items
-- Floral Department offering fresh-cut flower bouquets, silk arrangements, potted plants and balloons.
-- Full service Stater Bros. Super Rx Pharmacy
-- The addition of energy efficient skylights to incorporate the use of day lighting and help the environment.

Stater Bros. currently has three additional full service supermarkets under construction to better serve the Southern California communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, and Fontana. During 2005, Stater Bros. will open a total of five new supermarket locations. During 2006, Stater Bros. plans to open an additional five new supermarket locations, which will bring the company's total to 170 full service supermarkets.
