Stater Bros. Classic Car Event Draws 600,000

Stater Bros. Supermarkets once again is the title sponsor of the Route 66 Rendezvous – a show featuring classic cars that was held last week along the historic streets of downtown San Bernardino.

This is the thirteenth straight year that Stater Bros. has been the title sponsor, and the event drew approximately 600,000 car enthusiasts, including 1,900 registered participants showcasing their classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles, generating $44 million dollars for the local economy.

“We are happy to give back to the many car enthusiasts in the communities we serve by sponsoring this nostalgic weekend for the entire family to enjoy,” said Jack H. Brown, chairman and CEO of Stater Bros.

The grocer created a “Family” Fun Zone in the center of the event at Court and “E” Streets in downtown San Bernardino, where activities included cooking demonstrations, food sampling, interactive games, and community outreach booths.
