Sprouts to Open 10 Stores in Early 2015

Sprouts Farmers Market has confirmed plans to open its first stores in Alabama in early 2015. With its roots in fresh, natural and organic food, the Phoenix-based grocer will add new locations in Birmingham and Huntsville, along with eight other markets that it has targeted for expansion next year, including Bakersfield, Calif.; Cumming, Ga.; Daly City, Calif.; Houston, Texas; Mansfield, Texas; Liberty, Mo.; Scottsdale, Ariz.; and South Jordan, Utah.

Store addresses and grand-opening dates of the new Sprouts stores, which will employ roughly 100, will be revealed later this year.

Leading with fresh produce, bulk foods, dairy, meat and seafood, bakery, vitamins and supplements, Sprouts also showcases eclectic beer and wine and thousands of natural, organic and gluten-free groceries, along with on-site butchers, natural body care and household items catering to consumers' growing interest in health and wellness.

With a workforce of 17,000, Sprouts operates more than 180 stores in 10 states.
