Sprouts Deploys Asset and Environmental Management Solution
Natural and organic foods retailer Sprouts Farmers Market has deployed an asset and refrigerant management solutions platform to streamline its operations and manage its overall impact on the environment.
The grocer is using several core modules of Minneapolis-based Verisae’s Connected Facility platform, including its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Enterprise Refrigerant Management (ERM) and Enterprise Asset Purchasing (EAP) solutions. The implementation allows Sprouts to immediately reduce costs by managing facilities and the individual assets within each facility.
“Sprouts has had a long, successful history of sustainability, from energy conservation to industry leading low refrigerant leak rates,” said Jerry Stutler, VP of construction and facility engineering for Sprouts. “But we recognized, especially as we grow through acquisition, that we can do more to streamline our maintenance, energy and refrigerant management processes. Adopting Verisae’s platform was the logical next step, and it’s already producing results.”
With Verisae, Sprouts will aggregate and analyze data on the entire lifecycle of its assets including equipment procurement, parts and inventory tracking, remote monitoring of asset efficiency, and management of third-party service contractors.
Sprouts operates more than 140 fresh and natural full-service grocery stores in eight southwestern states, with their highest concentration of stores in southern California, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas. Sprouts recently merged with Sunflower Farmers Market allowing Sprouts to continue growing and improving the customer shopping experience.
