Electrolux Professional’s new High Speed Sandwich Press was designed to grill sandwiches and wraps with various fillings in half the time of a traditional panini grill, taking only 40 seconds instead of two minutes.
The press uses technology that integrates three heating modes -- contact plates, infrared radiation and microwaves -- to increase the speed of heating while still leaving appetizing grill-marks according to the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based company.
Other features include a self-adjusting upper plate, automatic holding, and an automatic lid opening at the end of the cooking phase so users just need to push a button to retrieve the sandwich. A programmable electronic control panel with four automatic cooking programs was incorporated for ease of use, as well as a nonstick surface for easy cleanup and maintenance.
