Set to hit shelves nationally in June, Southern Comfort Bold Black Cherry is a mixture of the iconic flavored liqueur with whiskey and cherry flavors. Following on the heels of Lime and Fiery Pepper varieties, the new product has been designed to appeal to a broad age range and meet consumer demand for great-tasting, unique flavors, according to Louisville, Ky.-based Brown-Forman Corp., which is launching a six-week national advertising campaign including commercials on ESPN, TBS, FX, Comedy Central and other networks. A 750-milliliter (25.4-ounce) bottle of the 70-proof spirit retails for a suggested $16.99.
