Snickers Encourages Football Fans to ‘Go Nuts’
Mars Chocolate North America’s Snickers brand will provide 17 exclusive trips to the Super Bowl through its Go Nuts At The Super Bowl with Snickers Instant Win Game. The winning NFL fans and their guests will get to root for their preferred team at Super Bowl XLV in north Texas, while over 2,200 additional winners will receive such prizes as 42-inch flat screen televisions, $500 VISA gift cards, $75 gift certificates to NFLShop.com, and single-sized Snickers bars.
Sports nuts can enter the sweepstakes, which runs through Dec. 16, by logging onto to www.SNICKERS.com and entering a “Game Code” found on inner packages of Snickers 2-To-Go Bars and outer packages of specially-marked Snickers Miniatures items. Additionally, consumers can text “SBTIX” to 50503 and follow the instructions in the text reply to enter.
“The Go Nuts At The Super Bowl with Snickers Instant Win Game satisfies NFL fans’ extreme passion in a number of different ways,” said Debra A. Sandler, chief consumer officer for Hackettstown, N.J.-based Mars Chocolate North America. “NFL fans are some of the loudest, proudest and nuttiest fans in all of sports.”
In related news, out of the nearly 25,000 consumers who entered the Snickers Ice Cream Chillin’ at Training Camp Sweepstakes for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to a 2010 National Football League (NHL) training camp of their choice, Michelle Hill of Malden, Mass., accompanied by a guest, will visit the New England Patriots training camp and get exclusive one-on-one time with running back Kevin Faulk.
Additionally, as an Official Sponsor of the NHL, Snickers Ice Cream has taken its “Chillin’” message on the road this summer, with stops at the Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts training camps.
All player participation in the contest was arranged by NFL Players, the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the Washington-based NFL Players Association.
