Next month, Butterball, LLC will bow an affordably priced product line with a difference: Carolina Turkey Deluxe American Heart Association (AHA) certified deli products. The lower-sodium lunchmeats contain 3 grams of fat or less, 1 gram of saturated fat or less, 0.5 gram of trans fat or less, 460 milligrams of sodium or less and 20 milligrams of cholesterol or less. Independent taste tests showed that the new items were preferred over higher-sodium products, according to Garner, N.C.-based Butterball.
