Shake ‘N Bake Aims to Shake Up Dinnertime in Boston
To help remind Beantown moms that its seasoned coating mix can perk up a mundane chicken dinner any night of the week, this month Kraft Foods’ Shake ‘N Bake is rolling out playful interactive advertisements in 17 Boston-area shopping malls during the fashion-aware holiday shopping season.
The iconic brand’s first effort of this sort in over a decade features ads with such sassy taglines as “You’re looking good today. Is your chicken looking good tonight?” and “You look positively yummy. Your chicken, not so much,” while mirrors offer shoppers a look at themselves — and get them thinking about the chicken dishes they’re serving their families.
“The holidays are filled with hustle and bustle, leaving little time for everyday activities like getting the weeknight meal ready,” noted Shake ‘N Bake brand manager Ellen Thompson. “We wanted to catch consumers during the holiday season when they are putting their best faces forward for festive social engagements, and remind them how easy it can be to also dress up their dinner routine without extra time or effort.”

Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft is the world’s second largest food company, with annual revenues of $42 billion.
