Schnucks Selling CDs to Benefit St. Louis Charity

ST. LOUIS -- All 64 St. Louis Metropolitan Area Schnucks stores are selling a special music CD for which 100 percent of sales will go to the BackStoppers, a nonprofit organization that provides support and financial assistance to the spouses and children of all local and county police officers, firefighters, publicly funded paramedics, and EMTS and volunteer fire protection units that have lost their lives in the line of duty.

For $20, music lovers will receive "Someone To Watch Over Me: The BackStoppers Project" CD featuring music donated by several local artists, including Ralph Butler, Anita Rosamond, Mark Christoper, Denice Thimes, Jim Manley, and Jeanne Trevor.

Schnucks stores are featuring a display of the CD at the customer service desk.

In addition to all sales going to the BackStoppers, all proceeds will be matched dollar for dollar during the ongoing David Pratt $1,000,000 Challenge Gift Campaign.

Schnuck Markets, Inc. operates 103 stores (including five Logli stores) and 100 pharmacies in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
