Schnucks Food Safety Director to Chair FMI Food Protection Committee

Schnuck Markets, Inc.’s director of food safety, Dianna Pasley, has been selected to chair the Food Marketing Institute’s (FMI) Food Protection Committee, which addresses food safety initiatives and legislation on a national level.

Pasley joined Schnucks in 2001 and over the past eight years has worked to build a food safety team to develop and implement education and training for associates and customers.

Formerly supervisor of environmental services in the Jefferson County Health Department, Pasley supervised laboratories and a team of health inspectors working in the areas of research, industry regulations and grants. Her background includes positions as health inspector for Franklin and Gasconade counties and consultant for Enviropact Inc., formerly of St. Louis.

Pasley holds a BS in life science along with a minor in chemistry from the University of Missouri/Rolla and a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University in St. Louis. She is also a part-time coach for the Washington University women’s basketball team.

Family-owned, St. Louis-based Schnucks operates 105 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Mississippi and Tennessee.
