Scaring Up Healthier Eating Habits
As part of the recently launched “Eat ’Em Like Junk Food,” campaign for produce, A Bunch of Carrot Farmers, led by Bakersfield, Calif.-based Bolthouse Farms, has launched Scarrots as a new kind of Halloween treat. Offered in packaging that mirrors Trick-or-Treat packs, the sweet baby carrots come in a master bag containing 25 single-serve 1.7-ounce bags in three unique designs, along with a sealed pouch of 25 temporary glow-in-the-dark tattoos of masquerading baby carrot characters. To publicize the healthy snack’s debut, A Bunch of Carrot Farmers will be distributing free Scarrots at the Safe Treat event at New York's Jacob Javits Convention Center on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.
