Save Mart Pharmacies Launches ‘Ask the Pharmacist’ Radio Forum

Save Mart Supermarkets has launched a daily radio program in which its director of pharmacy, Jeff Herr, will field health-related questions from consumers.

Called “Ask the Save Mart Pharmacist,” the show airs on Fresno’s KMJ 580AM weekday morning drive show, and is sponsored by Kellogg’s. The questions can also be viewed online at www.kmj580.com/pages/askthepharmacist.

“Nearly everyone has a question about their own or a family member’s medication and its effects,” explained Michele Snider, senior director of pharmacy for Save Mart. “The ‘Ask the Save Mart Pharmacist’ program brings our pharmacists’ expertise closer to the patients we serve -- to their homes, their cars, their workplaces.”

Listeners can submit their questions through the KMJ Web site, and Herr answers questions online and selects questions to answer on the air.

Modesto, Calif.-based Save Mart operates pharmacies in 115 Save Mart and Lucky stores in northern California and northern Nevada, and nearly 250 stores under the Save Mart, S-Mart Foods, Lucky and FoodMaxx banners.
